only 5 weeks to go

well its only 5 weeks to go as the title suggests - how mad - its all coming round a bit too soon and i have so much still to do - or buy to be fair, it would be nice to have a new wardrobe for going but think to be honest finances will need to be directed elsewhere, like accomodation perhaps!!!!

australia is all planned now and nearly booked - will hopefully get the rest of that done tonight - and then it will just be wee things like activities such as hopefully the bridge climb in sydney and the cruise round the whitsundays

just also wanted to shout out a big congratulations to sara and joe who got engaged last week - so excited for you guys and couldnt have happened to a lovelier couple

also gave the kite its first flight on sat after another trip to rocksalt - very nice falafel and humous wrap - it was such good fun and dare i say it i was so much better than ricky haha

hopefully getting new specs in the next couple of days - have already got the first cowan prescription sunglasses in posession and they are looking mighty cool - its a tad weird being able to actually read and drive whilst wearing sunglasses- not something we get a lot of need for in this country

monday monday modany

monday again - how did it come round so fast

i didnt post anything last week because i was feeling rather crap and sorry for myself - managed to be off work for a week and i am still coughing away. however we did get the christmas tree up, and its looking lovely - i convinced ricky that we needed to buy more tat to make the place look more festive, so the living room is alight (not literally although might be if we are not careful) with candles and tinsel - i am just loving the build up to christmas this year although it seems to be going very fast - i cant believe the xfactor final is over already (well done to Alexandra there, now stop greetin and start looking a bit more chipper - you beat eoghan and his hair and that made my saturday night)

so due to illness i have been reduced to staying in the house and watching TV - i have discovered E TV - how could i have been without it for so long, trash celebrity tv, it was like it was made just for me, it made the days so much more bearable - thank you E. i especially liked the girls next door - heff is indeed a legend.

oh i discovered rock salt on sunday - a lovely wee cafe/deli in leith, it did (can i say it) - better french toast than porto &fi, so will def be back

keeping you updated with travel plans we have now booked internal flights in the states to get from seattle to washington - still have loads to do though - i really need to start thinking about itinerary for australia. so we are thinking we might have a wee bash before we leave for friends and family - havent quite decided where or when but will keep you posted xx

getting started

okay so here we go - a shiny new blog to start informing people about whats going on in our lives right now. well the biggest chat is to be fair about our monumental holiday we are going on in march - yes thats march the 3rd for those who are not yet in the know. so we should be getting organised and reading up about where we are going but no what are we doing - we are buying new carpets - to be fair they were fitted today and look rather nice - however the dust is reeking havoc with my lungs. i am spluttering everywhere (such a good look) am hoping it will pass soon. its not just me who is annoyed at the upheaval though - poor ronnie is not a happy camper with all the banging going on and that is after the wonderful weekend where we traumatised him by giving him a bath and a manicure in one night - havent see the huffy beggar since - i can sense he will be out and about tonight though, mr murray is missing him and well he needs cleaned out. the weekend was good, caught up with russ, sands and the two kids (so cute and well behaved) and then had dinner with joe and sarah - grand to catch up with friends isnt it. we also got our new camera today so will be posting new shots in the weeks to come to try and get me used to it before we head off. so i will go just now but i will leave you with this thought for the day - chat soon http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/celebrity/karen-matthews%3a-where-she-went-wrong-200812051440/
